Responsibilities

Extension and research responsibilities in dairy cattle nutrition and serves as the Coordinator of the Extension Program in Animal Sciences. Conducts educational programs in the area of ruminant nutrition. Research includes the effects of fiber on animal performance and milk composition; production of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) in milk; and development of optimum use of feeding practices. Teaching responsibilities include advising graduate students and serving as leader for an applied dairy nutrition course designed primarily for veterinary students.
