Equine Training Services

Does your horse need to be started or re-started under saddle?
The Equine Behavior & Training class is offered every winter quarter at the OSU Equine Facility. Class starts in early January and is complete around the middle of March. The horses are housed at the OSU Equine Facility where students are assigned an individual horse to care for and work with a minimum of 55 hours per week, under the supervision of experienced, professional trainers. Each training program is designed to fit the needs of the individual horse, but typically consists of lunging, saddling, ground driving, and work under saddle. At the end of the quarter, horses will be “green broke” or able to walk, jog/trot, lope/canter, stop and back. OSU horses that complete the Equine Behavior & Training class are then made available for purchase at the spring Buckeye Bonanza horse sale. If interested, please contact the OSU Equine Facility for current rates and information. Space is limited, so reserve your horse’s stall early!
