The horse barn was built in the 1970’s and has a
classroom for 50 students, a small breeding lab, an office and three
rooms for student living. There are 3 foaling stalls, 2 stallion stalls
and 20 box stalls along with three outside run in sheds. We also
maintain 20 acres of pasture.
We house 40-50 horses. OSU has Quarter Horses and Paints. Boarders are
mostly Quarter Horses, Paints or Thoroughbreds.
Horses are used in teaching, extension, and research programs.
