    It is that time of year again, the beginning of fall semester means the OSUN seminar series is back every Friday from 12-1PM in Campbell Hall 252 with a video link to Gerlaugh 122.  We have a great line-up of people coming to speak this year so I hope you all will join us for seminar every Friday this fall!

    Join us for our annual evening of fun and fellowship at Fred Beekman Park Wheel Shelter on Thursday, Aug. 29th starting at 5:00 PM!  We will have music, fun games, kickball and tug of war tournaments, bingo, cool give aways, free food, carnival artists, Columbus Zoo exhibition, and more.

    The Center for Human-Animal Interactions Research & Education is offering an opportunity to unwind and interact with animals right before finals! A variety of animals will be available for interaction in the Animal Science Building Arena on Monday, April 22 from 5:30-7:00pm. Snacks will be provided. Students, faculty, and staff are all invited!

    The Nathan Fechheimer Memorial Lecture Series in Animal Breeding and Production occurs spring semester.  Dr. Fechheimer was a professor in the Department of Dairy Science and very active leader in college and university government. The Fechheimer family established an endowment for this lecture series with the intent to bring in speakers that offer innovative and thought provoking ideas to test traditional scientific interpretations. The speaker gives lectures on the Columbus and Wooster campuses and interacts with faculty, staff, and students while visiting each campus.

    Spring is coming! That means the Buckeye Bonanza Horse Sale & Open House is coming soon, too! Please join us on Saturday, April 13th for the 12th annual Buckeye Bonanza Open House from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the OSU Equine Facility at Don Scott Field (off Sawmill Road). As always, we will have fun activities for the whole family and our students will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate the skills they have been practicing with their sale horses in the Advanced Equine Behavior & Training class this semester.

    The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences is hosting a Spring Game Tailgate for CFAES alumni, students, friends, and family.     ASGSA is hosting an open forum with young professionals on APRIL 4th at 5:30 PM in 212 Animal Science. The idea behind this event is to have students bring their questions to spark discussion on pros/cons of working in industry vs. academia. Our guests will be Dr. Benjamin Wenner (OSU professor) and Dr. Bo Harstine (Director of Research at Select Sires Inc.). A free dinner will be provided.

    Join the Animal Science Graduate Student Association for goat yoga! Two sessions of goat yoga will be held on April 1st one at 5:00pm & one at 6:30pm in the Animal Science Building Arena. Please RSVP in advance to Kelly Mitchell mitchell.1478@osu.edu. Participation is $10 for students and $15 for non-students. You must bring your own towel or yoga mat. Goats are provided by the Mid Ohio Dairy Goat Association.

    CHAIRE is hosting another yoga event on March 21st! This time we are collaborating with Harrison Farm for two sessions of yoga with LIVE goats.
