Training Session: Use of REEport

What:  Training Session: Use of REEport for Hatch projects and USDA funded grants (repeat of session held in May)
Who:  All faculty with OARDC appointments and faculty who receive or plan to receive USDA grants
When:  September 16, 2013, 11:30-1:00.  We will provide lunch

As you know, USDA-NIFA has launched a new reporting system called REEport which replaces the CRIS system that we have used for federal project initiation, progress reporting, and project termination.  The change to REEport will impact PI’s for both Hatch projects and NIFA-funded grants.  Along with the implementation of REEport there are new report due dates that we will send to your faculty next week.  This e-mail is a heads-up regarding these new dates.
• Under the old CRIS system the reporting period ended Dec. 31 and reports were due to OARDC Jan. 31. 
• Under REEport the reporting period ends Sept. 30 and reports will be due to OARDC Dec. 6.  Note, for the first year there is only a 9 month reporting period.
We look forward to working with all departments for a smooth transition to the new reporting system.
