CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  3. The Western Ag Station is looking for a farm assistant intern for this Summer. For more information, see attached. 

  4. Edelweiss Farms Inc. has a dairy farm internship for this Summer. For more details, see attached

  5. The Rightmire Hall Zebrafish facility has up to 4 student assistant positions available ($13/hour) to join the husbandry team. The position is ideal for students interested in animal holding systems, tropical fish care, veterinary medicine, fisheries, animal husbandry, etc.

FULL-TIME JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. CSA Animal Nutrition located in Dayton has a few positions open. They are an animal nutrition consulting company that started up a small lab at their headquarters to provide basic feed analysis for their customers – NIR, particle size and mycotoxin testing are their main services.

  2. Lancaster High School is looking for an Animal Science Instructor for next school year 2023-2024. This position is in our Career Tech department. The right candidate does not have to possess a teaching license but would be willing to complete a Teacher Education program to obtain one.

  3. There is an opening for a graduate assistantship in precision dairy science at Penn State! See attached for more information and how to apply!

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

  1. The Dairy Shrine is in the process of accepting scholarship applications from college students enrolled in four-year and two-year programs across the country. Each year they provide more than $40,000 in scholarship funding to college students to help them offset their educational expenses.

  2. The COBA/Select Sires Board of Directors wishes to recognize the efforts and aspirations of college students from member-owner-customer herds in our North and Southwest territories.

  3. The Royal Scholars program is designed to provide an opportunity for outstanding college students to represent the American Royal and the agriculture industry.

STUDY ABROAD INFORMATION

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. Applications to be an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant are now open and due May 1st (although students are encouraged to apply early to plan their autumn schedule accordingly.)
