CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

  1. The Department of Animal Sciences is having an end of the year cookout for students, staff and faculty on April 16th! Find more information here.

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. It’s that time of the year again! The Desert Pines Equine’s fall internship program is quickly approaching for any students who might be interested in a career in equine veterinary medicine

  2.  The Vet Clinic in Worthington is looking to hire a new part time kennel technician to start at the beginning of May (permanent position preferred but willing to hire for the summer only!) who can work Thursday and Friday nights and either Saturday evening or any time Sunday. 

  3. JBT is looking for summer interns! This company is a leader in the food processing industry, manufacturing large scale food processing equipment. This internship division of JBT focuses on a versatile line that primarily produces finished meat products.

FULL-TIME JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. The Ohio Department of Agriculture is currently accepting applications for the following position:

  2. Greenacres is hiring for a new livestock position that will be heavily livestock focused but will be have a large project management component for research as well.

  3. Hurdwell Market is looking for a full-time Meat Cutter to join the butchering team. In this role, you will be breaking down beef, pork, and lamb carcasses into various cuts, chops, steaks, roasts and ground product before weighing and packaging for both retail and custom operations.

  1. Applications for the Certified Angus Beef 2024 Colvin Scholarship Fund are now open!

  2. The application process for the Dairy Shrine and Klussendorf/McKown scholarships opens tomorrow, March 1.

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. Embark on a journey of discovery with PorkProspect: Nurturing Talent for a Sustainable Swine Industry. Our program is tailored for both high school students and undergraduates, offering an exciting opportunity to explore the dynamic field of swine production and

  2. The Tri-State Dairy Nutrition Conference is a collaborative effort between The Ohio State University, Michigan State University, Purdue University, and the allied dairy industry to provide current information about the feeding of dairy cattle to the industry.
