If you’re considering a career in equine veterinary medicine, a Veterinary Assistant Rotating Internship from July 8 through December 14, 2024, at Desert Pines Equine Medical & Surgical Center offers ample hands-on experience necessary to further your career aspirations. This six-month, full-time, paid internship allows graduates to take the skills they’ve learned in the classroom and apply them in the real world with the support of licensed veterinary technicians and a team of skilled veterinarians, including two surgeons. The schedule rotates between day appointments and after-hours, allowing the intern to see a diverse caseload and use state-of-the-art equipment. Desert Pines Equine is the primary service provider for South Point Arena and Equestrian Center, a 1,200-stall facility that hosts some of the best equestrian events in the world and is the official veterinarian of the National Finals Rodeo.
