Becoming a Freshman at OSU When you apply to The Ohio State University, you can declare an animal sciences or meat science major at that time. If you are admitted to Ohio State, then you are automatically admitted to the Department of Animal Sciences. Admission info: undergrad.osu.edu/apply/index.html If you have questions about Advanced Placement (AP) credit, you should contact the Office of the University Registrar.

You must file the college Scholarship Application Form to be considered for departmental scholarships. This application is available November 1 and must be submitted by February 15.

Receipt of a departmental academic award does not preclude your receiving college or university awards if you qualify.

Transferring from a Regional Campus

You are eligible to transfer to Columbus once you have completed 30 semester hours and have a GPA of at least 2.0. You will need to meet with your regional campus advisor to fill out the appropriate paperwork.
