Kentucky Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center (KESMARC) is taking applications for their Summer internship program. The deadline to apply is January 15th!
If you're not familiar with KESMARC, their internship offers a fully immersive equine experience at the top equine rehabilitation center in the country. Interns have the chance to learn about injury management and various therapeutic modalities including aquatics and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, among many others! They will also have the chance to work alongside and learn from some of the top Equine veterinarians and professionals in the industry.
They offer two program options. The Derby internship is full time and lasts 3 months (housing is provided)! The Oaks program allows for some schedule flexibility, however housing is not included in this program. Successful interns generally arrive already possessing a base knowledge of equine anatomy and solid handling skills for a variety of horses.
