CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

  1. The Spring 2025 CFAES Career Fair is approaching! February 18th @ the Ohio Union. 

  2. The Department of Animal Sciences is hosting our annual Student-Faculty/Staff Winter Mixer Event on Tuesday, February 10th from 5:15-7:30 in Plumb Hall 220.  This is a great opportunity to not only meet other students but also to get to know your professors outside the classroom

    What is this Internship? 

  5. Texas A&M University’s Global Health Research Complex (GHRC), in partnership with the USDA National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility, is pleased to offer a unique, grant-funded summer internship designed to prepare future animal caretakers for careers in biocontainment research environments.

  6. Ohio Poultry Association is accepting applicants for their summer internship. To be considered for this internship, please submit a resume by February 1, 2026, to Mandi Shirley at mshirley@ohiopoultry.org.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

  1. DEADLINE APPROACHING!!! The deadline to apply for the 2026 Premier Future Ag Leaders Scholarship Program offered by Premier Select Sires is January 31, 2026.

  2. DEADLINE APPROACHING!!! Feedworks USA, Ltd is offering a $5,000 scholarship for sophomores or higher academic rank. They have a preference for those majoring in Animal Sciences (and Poultry Science).

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. The Columbus Pet Expo (March 13-15, 2026) is looking for volunteers to help in the livestock areas,

Each year, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association invites students interested in learning more about careers in veterinary medicine to a special event, during which they can meet practicing veterinarians who can give them a glimpse into the profession’s possibilities. Connection Corner: Student

  1. The Monda Student Resource Center is a support resource for students that may struggle to succeed because essential needs such as food, housing, clothing, or other needs are not being met
