Kichoon Lee
Dr. Kichoon Lee, Professor in the Department of Animal Sciences, has been awarded a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The USDA grant award has been approved with a total budget of $650,000 for four years. The title of the project is “Role of retinol and retinol-binding protein 7 gene in regulation of avian adipogenesis". The project started on January 01, 2022.
Congratulations to Dr. Gireesh Rajashekara and Dr. Renukaradhya Gourapura from the Center of Food Animal Health and Dr. Kichoon Lee and Dr. Zhongtang Yu from the Department of Animal Sciences on being awarded research grants.
Dr. Gireesh Rajashekara and Dr. Renukaradhya Gourpura were awarded a $625,100 Food Safety grant from USDA-NIFA for their research on "Drinking water deliverable chitosan based Salmonella and Campylobacter subunit vaccine for broilers".
