The Department of Animal Sciences had two poster competition winners during the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center's (OARDC) 2017 research conference on April 20. The competition, which drew 83 entries, recognized outstanding research posters by OARDC-supported graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and research assistants and associates. OARDC is the research arm of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University.
The Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) holds an Annual Research Conference in Wooster or Columbus to highlight current research in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and to recognize outstanding researchers in the college. The 11th Annual, Bi-State Youth Poultry Clinic was held at Fisher Auditorium in Wooster on March 28, 2015. In all, 235 Youth, Parents and Advisors signed up for this one day poultry clinic.
Talks included: Pullets and Hens, Pigeon Breeds, Diseases of Small Flocks, Avian Anatomy/Necropsy, Basics of Poultry Feed, Incubators and Equipment, Market Broilers, Turkeys, Showmanship, Quality Assurance for Poultry, Skillathon, Avian Bowl and several discussion groups.
