CLUBS & STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

  1. Buckeyes for Canines is hosting a 5k that helps funraise and raise awareness for local shelter animals with all proceeds benefiting Columbus Humane! Regristration closes on March 27th and is $15. The run takes place at the Oval at 1pm on March 29th.

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. The USDA Internship Program welcomes emerging leaders from across the country to support America’s farmers, food systems, rural communities, and natural resources.

  2. The Dobbins Lab at the Pennsylvania State University is recruiting a M.S. student to begin in August 2026 on a fully funded assistantship.

  2. Cargill is hiring a Swine Trial Application Scientist to lead and support innovative swine nutrition research.

  3. The University of Missouri is seeking qualified individuals to oversee the care and management of the cow-calf system at its Beef Research and Teaching Farm located in Columbia, MO.

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

  1. Research positions are available for undergraduate students who are interested in research in the Department of Animal Sciences. Applicants must commit to full-time research over a 10-week period during summer 2026 and participate in the CFAES Undergraduate Research Forum spring semester 2027.

  1. The Monda Student Resource Center is a support resource for students that may struggle to succeed because essential needs such as food, housing, clothing, or other needs are not being met

  2. All OSU Counseling and Consultation Services (CCS) staff were sent home to tele-commute until further notice.The CCS phone line 614-292-5766 remains available for emergency assistance 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
