An opening is now available for the OSU Animal Sciences Summer Internship, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting youth programming at the Ohio State Fair.
This internship plays a vital role in coordinating and delivering Ohio 4-H livestock events, including the Poultry Judging Contest, General Livestock Judging Contest, in-person all-species Skillathons, and the Outstanding Market and Breeding Exhibitor programs. Interns will be directly involved in planning, developing, and executing these statewide events.
Responsibilities include working alongside species professionals to create educational content, organizing materials for Skillathons, communicating with volunteers, and assisting with the execution of youth events throughout the Ohio State Fair.
This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal sciences, youth development, and the livestock industry.
Requirements:
Current college student
Availability from May through August
4-H/FFA experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
