Congratulations to alumnus Dr. Louis "Andy" Swiger (Animal Science,1954), who was inducted Saturday, September 27, into the Virginia Livestock Hall of Fame located at the Alphin-Stuart Livestock Teaching Arena on Virginia Tech’s Blacksburg campus. Dr. Swiger is dean emeritus of the Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and head of the Department of Animal and Poultry Sciences.
Dr. Swiger was inducted into the Ohio State Animal Science Hall of Fame in 2000 (photo shown here) and was honored with a College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award in 2003.
