CHAIRE Inaugural Research Symposium

June 4, 2020

The CFAES Center for Human-Animal Interactions Research & Education (CHAIRE) was originally scheduled to hold their Inaugural Research Symposium on Tuesday April 7. During this unprecedented time of holding events in the future, Co-Directors Dr. Kelly George and Dr. Tony Parker and Program Coordinator Brittany Fischer decided it was best to hold the symposium virtually and give all of the hardworking researchers the opportunity to showcase their research this spring. All presentations are Ignite style, containing 20 slides that auto advance after 15 seconds for a total of five minutes, and are unique in their species and presentation style. Each also fall into at least one of CHAIRE’s focus areas which are Welfare & Behavior, Conservation, Companionship, and Zooeyia.

On their website, chaire.osu.edu, you can find a full listing of abstracts and links to each presentation which are also posted on their YouTube Channel. Beginning on Wednesday 5/27-6/12 CHAIRE is also featuring one presentation per day on their Facebook and Twitter pages. If you have any questions for the researchers you can direct them to Brittany Fischer at chaire@osu.edu.
