Dr. Callan Lichtenwalter joined the Department of Animal Sciences in February of 2024.
Callan joins us following her PhD program at Washington State University, where her research focused on dairy cattle welfare and behavior, as well as European Starling Management. Callan currently instructs Animal Health 2 and will also be leading Companion Animal Biology in the fall. She also works to coordinate global education for the department, a key component of the experiences of Animal Sciences students.
Callan believes the department plays a crucial role in providing students an excellent knowledge base and connecting them to real world experiences that allow them to succeed beyond their time on campus. She is excited to aid students in achieving their goals across all interests during her time in Columbus.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Callan Lichtenwalter to the Department of Animal Sciences.
