Current OSU Nutrition PhD candidate Alex Tebbe ('17, MS in Animal Sciences), recent graduate Dr. Jerad Jaborek ('19, PhD in Animal Sciences) and alumnus Dr. Bo Harstine ('11, MS in Animal Sciences and '13, PhD in Animal Sciences) will be honored at the 2020 American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) & American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) Midwest Meeting.
Tebbe will receive the Young Dairy Scholar award. Jaborek will receive the Animal Science Young Scholar Award. The purpose of these programs is to recognize and feature the research accomplishments of recent Ph.D. graduates or current Ph.D. students in the advanced stages of their program (i.e. within 12 months of degree completion) at the annual Midwestern ADSA/ASAS meetings.
Harstine will receive the Outstanding Early Career Agribusiness Award; he is currently the Director of Research for Select Sires Inc. in Plain City, Ohio. Nominees for the Early Career Agribusiness Award must have demonstrated significant effect on the products and/or services marketed by their employer and show evidence of the application of scientific principles and knowledge, and originality in the contributions.
The ASAS/ADSA Midwest Meeting will be held March 2-4, 2020 in Omaha.
