The 103rd Annual Saddle and Sirloin Little International will be held November 4, 2017. Little International events consist of showmanship competitions in five livestock species (goats have been added this year), and a Ham and Corned Beef Cure contest. Students in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences are encouraged to participate in the events and share this experience. Little I is open to family and friends of students, faculty, and industry members. As part of the program, you're invitedĀ to watch the showmanship contest and/or attend the luncheon and awards ceremony where attendees will have the opportunity to bid at an auction on the winning ham and corned beef products from the cure competition.
The showmanship competition will occur at the OSU Barns located at 3658 Kays Avenue, Dublin, OH. Showmanship will start at 8 a.m. with hogs and horses, followed by sheep, cattle, goats and the Steeb competition respectively. At the conclusion of the final showmanship round, the ceremonies will move to the Animal Science Building located on-campus at 2029 Fyffe Road, Columbus, OH. The complimentary luncheon, ham and corned beef auction, awards presentations and announcing of the Steeb Award will take place in the arena.
