The 25th Annual Mortar Board and Sphinx Senior Class Honorary Society Reception was held February 17 at the Longaberger Alumni House. Each member of Sphinx and Mortar Board recognizes a faculty or staff member who has influenced his/her college career. Dr. Maurice Eastridge (by Sarah Finney, Mortar Board) and Ms. Mariette Benage (by Kristy Klingenberg, Sphinx) were recognized for outstanding contributions to our students. Mortar Board "recognizes college seniors for their achievements in scholarship, leadership, and service". Ms. Finney became a member of Mortar Board last year. Selection for SPHINX is based on "scholarship, leadership and direct contribution to The Ohio State University"; only 24 students university wide are linked in each year. Ms. Klingenberg was linked into the 107th class. The 108th class will be announced later this spring.
