The Bi State Youth Poultry Clinic was held March 22 at Fisher Auditorium in Wooster on the OARDC campus--this was the 10th year for this clinic. The event had full attendance with 200 people. Topics included small flock genetics, avian behavior, embryology and incubation, feeding and mangaement of market birds, broiler selection and showmanship, and avian anatomy and necropsy.
Speakers included Dr. Mike Lilburn, Dr. Ramesh Selvaraj and graduate student Mr. Matt Walston, with much help from many other people in the Department of Animal Sciences. Also giving presentations were Bill Karcher (Eagle Nest Poultry) and from MSU, Darrin Karcher, Richard Balander and Marisa Erasmus.
