  5. 2021 Virtual Southeastern Meat Judging Contest Results

    The Ohio State University and the University of Kentucky hosted the 2021 Virtual Southeastern on Saturday, May 1, 2021. The contest was a great way to finish the spring competitive season with 7 universities registered and 29 competitors. The contest had 5 questions classes, 5 placing classes, 10 specifications, and 15 quality and yield grade exhibits.

  7. Annika Diaz named 2021 Distinguished Senior at The Ohio State University

  8. Alvaro Garcia Guerra Receives North American Colleges and Teachers of America Educator Award!

    Congratulations to Dr. Alvaro Garcia Guerra in the Department of Animal Sciences in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences on receiving the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Educator Award!  This is a wonderful tribute to his outstanding work with students.  Dr. Garcia Guerra will be honored and receive a certificate in a virtual 2021 NACTA Conference to be held June 21-24, 2021.

  9. Kirsten Nickles Receives 1st Place in ASAS PhD Oral Competition

    Kirsten Nickles is a PhD candidate under the guidance of Dr. Tony Parker in the Department of Animal Sciences studying the effects of muddy conditions on the cow herd's productivity, reproduction, and whole farm economics. She recently competed in the American Society of Animal Science Midwest Section Meeting PhD Oral Competition and received first place in the competition. She was presented with her award in an ASAS Virtual Program on March 9, 2021.

  10. Caleb Rykaczewski Receives 2021 NAAB Doak Graduate Fellowship Award

    Caleb Rykaczewski is a graduate student working on his bachelor's degree in the Department of Animal Sciences.  He will graduate May 2021 and continue to pursue his Master's degree at Ohio State.
