Are you a college student interested in learning more about agriculture and agricultural policy while enhancing your leadership skills? The Collegiate Washington D.C. Leadership Experience is an all-expense paid trip for collegiate leaders with an interest in agriculture. The Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association will be sponsoring students to attend the National Corn Congress in Washington D.C. and participate in a leadership experience. Any child of an OCWGA member or any collegiate OCWGA member is encouraged to apply. We welcome students of any major at any institution! You do not have to be pursuing an agriculture degree to apply!
While in D.C., students will attend National Corn Congress sessions, visit with agricultural leaders and organizations, and have opportunities to make congressional visits to lobby on behalf of growers. This trip will be a four-day experience, from July 13-16, 2015, with opportunities for students to network with agricultural leaders, growers from across the U.S., other collegiate leaders, and OCWGA board members. The OCWGA wants to provide students with the resources and experiences to develop as leaders in the agricultural community. Attendees of the Collegiate Washington D.C. Leadership Experience will walk away better prepared for their future careers and involvement in agriculture.
