INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Hameua Farm is a small dairy farm in central PA and they run an agricultural education program for girls age 7-14 during the summer months.  This will be their 25th summer! 

  2. Millennium Quarter Horses is hiring a working student. The job is 5 days a week and 5 hours a day. Pay is $15/hour. Responsibilities will include cleaning a maximum of 8 stalls, exercising 2 horses, handling yearlings, and turning out horses. Part time housing is available. 

  3. Opportunities exist to work at Hawk’s Nest Golf Course, Secrest Arboretum, greenhouses, and at various locations on the Wooster Campus.  This would be a great resume builder for your future endeavors.

FULL-TIME JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. This is a full time position located at the Southern Research and Outreach Center (SROC), Waseca, MN.  The position manages the calf barns at maximum efficiency, ensuring that quality research can be conducted while quality replacement heifers are raised to satisfy the commercial dairy partners

  2. The 6,372 acre McGregor Research Center that serves as a beef cattle research station, providing a platform for long-term, large-scale projects with beef cows, stocker cattle, and confinement growing and finishing cattle.

  3. CentralStar currently has a large amount of positions open. CentralStar is a member owner of Select Sires -- the largest A.I. and genetics cooperative in the world. They also have the fastest-growing Dairy Herd Information (DHI) milk-testing program in the U.S.

  1. Hi! My name is Cassidy Kelly, I’m a 3rd year, Animal Sciences major from Chicago, Illinois and I am currently serving on the CFAES Undergraduate Student Council as a delegate for Animal Sciences majors.

NAVIGATING COVID TOGETHER

  1. In alignment with recommendations from the Safe Campus and Scientific Advisory Subgroup, Campus Area Bus Service (CABS) continues to limit occupancy to support safety and physical distancing guidelines. For students coming/going to our CFAES Columbus campus, please note:

  2. The Libraries are currently offering contact-free pickup by appointment at Thompson Library only, and document delivery through

The large majority of our faculty and staff will be telecommuting during the pandemic, which means the best way to get assistance is to email your advisor or instructors with questions, or to set up a Zoom or phone call.  There will be a contact directory of email and phone # of all faculty and
