ACADEMIC DATES & INFO

  1. Center for Human-Animal Interactions Research and Education (CHAIRE) is hosting a short course for Animal Science Students. This short course will take place at the Wilds. It is an overnight conversation workshop with an overnight bush experience in the Wilds.

  2. There will be a change in equine courses offered this fall. Typically, AS 2301 (Behavior and Training, ground work only) and AS 3171 (Equine Health and Diseases) are offered in the fall. These two classes will not be offered in SP22 semester.

    There are three phases in the training program: 

  5. Hameua Farm is a small dairy farm in central PA and they run an agricultural education program for girls age 7-14 during the summer months.  This will be their 25th summer! 

  6. Millennium Quarter Horses is hiring a working student. The job is 5 days a week and 5 hours a day. Pay is $15/hour. Responsibilities will include cleaning a maximum of 8 stalls, exercising 2 horses, handling yearlings, and turning out horses. Part time housing is available. 

  7. Opportunities exist to work at Hawk’s Nest Golf Course, Secrest Arboretum, greenhouses, and at various locations on the Wooster Campus.  This would be a great resume builder for your future endeavors.

FULL-TIME JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. TLC Pet Hospital is searching for a Veterinary Technician/Receptionist to join their team of professionals. They are a full service, small animal hospital in Richmond Indiana providing quality and compassionate care to their patients and their owners.

  2. This is a full time position located at the Southern Research and Outreach Center (SROC), Waseca, MN.  The position manages the calf barns at maximum efficiency, ensuring that quality research can be conducted while quality replacement heifers are raised to satisfy the commercial dairy partners

  3. The 6,372 acre McGregor Research Center that serves as a beef cattle research station, providing a platform for long-term, large-scale projects with beef cows, stocker cattle, and confinement growing and finishing cattle.
