INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Opportunities exist to work at Hawk’s Nest Golf Course, Secrest Arboretum, greenhouses, and at various locations on the Wooster Campus.  This would be a great resume builder for your future endeavors.

  2. The Ohio State Waterman Dairy is looking for students interested in operating farm equipment and working with dairy cattle.  Paid positions are open for Summer 2021 employment and can fulfill internship requirements.                                         

  3. The J.H. Routh Packing Co. Management Internship program is currently accepting applicants for summer season May 2021-August 2021. This year we will accept up to 4 candidates to participate.

  4. The Ohio State University South Centers is hiring student assistants to help with our field research, for the summer.

  5. The QA Intern in the Quality Assurance Department will gain exposure to, learn from, and have the opportunity to work with professionals within the QA department and the Wendy’s Business.

GRADUATE SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

  1. The Department of Agricultural Sciences at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) has partnered with Dairy Innovations, LLC in support of finding an individual looking to pursue a master’s degree.

  2. Kansas State currently has openings for Graduate Research Assistants. 

  3. The University of Arkansas is looking to fill two graduate research positions. 

  4. The Department of Poultry Science at Mississippi State University is inviting applications from highly motivated candidates for a M.S. Graduate Research Assistantship. This is a 2-year position funded with stipend, tuition, and insurance beginning in the Fall Semester of 2021.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

  1. The Roy A. Wallace BIF Memorial Fund was established to honor the life and career of Roy A. Wallace. Mr. Wallace worked for Select Sires for 40 years, serving as vice-president of beef programs and devoted his life to beef-cattle improvement.

  2. The National Dairy Shrine offers more than $35,000 in scholarships for college students. A wide variety of scholarships are available from freshman just beginning their college career to graduate students. Scholarships offered include:

NAVIGATING COVID TOGETHER

  1. In alignment with recommendations from the Safe Campus and Scientific Advisory Subgroup, Campus Area Bus Service (CABS) continues to limit occupancy to support safety and physical distancing guidelines. For students coming/going to our CFAES Columbus campus, please note:

  2. The Libraries are currently offering contact-free pickup by appointment at Thompson Library only, and document delivery through 

  3. The large majority of our faculty and staff will be telecommuting during the pandemic, which means the best way to get assistance is to email your advisor or instructors with questions, or to set up a Zoom or phone call.  There will be a contact directory of email and phone # of all faculty and
