CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

  1. Congratulations to our Animal Welfare Judging Team that, collectively, was awarded one-fourth of the total Intercollegiate Animal Welfare Judging/Assessment Contest (AWJAC) awards this past week where 20 years of competition was celebrated. Coached by Drs.

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Camp Ernst are in search of some AMAZING people to be summer 2021 ranch counselors at your Greater Cincinnati’s favorite overnight camp, YMCA Camp Ernst!

  2. STgenetics is offering multiple internships in Summer 2021. The positions are: 

  3. Wild Hearts African Farm is a small education and conservation centered non-profit zoo in Lewisburg, OH. They provide positions for interns year round, but are also looking to provide research opportunities for students.

GRADUATE SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

  1. MS or PhD Graduate Assistant positions are available beginning in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 in Gastrointestinal Health and Physiology Lab in the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences at the University of Maryland (UMD) – College Park under the supervision of Dr. Younggeon Jin.

FULL-TIME JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. The Purdue Animal Sciences Research and Education Center (ASREC) is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as Unit Manager for the ASREC Dairy Unit, a Holstein-based operation of approximately 170 milking cows.

  2. The Ohio Department of Agriculture is currently accepting applications for the following position:

    Sanitarian Program Specialist 1 - PN 20040217, Dairy Division. The deadline for applying is Friday, December 18 2020.

  3. Kentucky Equine Hospital is hiring! 
    We are looking for hospital veterinary technicians. 

  4. Hagyard is hiring Ambulatory Veterinary Assistants for the 2021 breeding season! These are seasonal fulltime positions from January through June. The work week is six days per week with varying start and finish times.

  5. At Clemens Food Group, they are hiring two roles within their research, development, and commercialization team that would fit the bill for an undergrad looking for a role in the meat industry.

NAVIGATING COVID TOGETHER

  1. In alignment with recommendations from the Safe Campus and Scientific Advisory Subgroup, Campus Area Bus Service (CABS) continues to limit occupancy to support safety and physical distancing guidelines. For students coming/going to our CFAES Columbus campus, please note:

  2. The Libraries are currently offering contact-free pickup by appointment at Thompson Library only, and document delivery through
