COLUMBUS EVENTS

  1. Gateway Film Center is showing their Holiday Classics Film Series most nights through December 25, 2018.  Gateway Film Center features holiday craft brews, holiday cocktails made from hot chocolate and hot cider, as well as seasonal theater candy and lots of holiday spirit.

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 International Livestock Congress Student Fellowships.  The International Livestock Congress (ILC), hosted by the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, is a global event that brings leaders from the livestock and meat industries together to discuss

  2. University Ambassadors, gives campus tours to prospective high school students and their families. They would like to inform you that applications for our next hiring cycles of Spring/Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 are now open!

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

  1. The University of Nebraska is now accepting applications for the Summer 2020 Research Program. This 10-week, full-time residential summer research experience provides mentoring and research participation while allowing scholars to preview graduate school life at a Research1 university.

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. QTest Labs is a CRO that specializes in efficacy, cardiovascular safety, and risk assessment of a pharmaceutical or medical device. They are looking to hire 1-3 animal care technicians over the holidays and into the beginning of the year. 

  2. These programs are available to agriculture and life science students in their junior or senior years of study. Students are encouraged to register for college credit at their home institution, and are responsible for making arrangements for credits.

  3. The fish facility is looking to hire an undergradute student. Over the years, they have found that the pre-vet students and animal science majors they have hired tend to enjoy the experience, so they wanted to reach out directly to those students.

FULL-TIME JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Adams Family Farms is looking to hire an individual who is interested in the swine industry and wants hands on experience. They currently have 3 nursery swine barns that have a total of 20,000 – 30,000 nursery spaces.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

  1. The Ohio Soybean Council Foundation is awarding $44,000 in scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students studying agriculture or a related field.
