The Ohio State Waterman Dairy is looking for students interested in gaining on farm experience within the dairy industry in areas of production, research, and outreach. Paid positions are open for Spring Semester 2019 employment and can fulfill internship requirements. During Spring Semester the Dairy will have a 60 cow nutrition trial in progress for 10 weeks. Students are needed to care for the cattle, clean stalls, deliver feed (ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs), and assist in collecting data. There are also positions available for milking, feeding, and calf feeding for the duration of Spring Semester. Besides general dairy chores other opportunities can be tailored to fit internship requirements or employee interests. Work hours outside of chore times are flexible and the farm is located within a mile of campus to allow convenient commute between or after classes. They are holding interviews the weeks of December 3rd and December 10th. Please email John Lemmermen (.3) or Bekah Meller (.5) to set up an interview time. See the attachment for more information.
