Wild Horse Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit public charity located on a rural McDermott property in Scioto County, Ohio. Many of the horses have been abused or starved at one point in their lives and need human interaction. Wild Horse Rescue uses natural horsemanship methods along understanding herd behavior to see how the horses react to pressure. The intern will be supervised and assisted when needed for safety purposes. The intern should live in the area and provide their own transportation to and from the facility. This is an unpaid opportunity, but the intern will gain benefits that extend to knowledge of equine handling and behavior that has been gained from more than 55 years of experience working with troubled horses. Work schedules would be flexible.
Interested interns can contact Betty Davison with resume and contact information.
