Safari Adventures (Kalahari in Sandusky, OH) and The Watering Hole at Monsoon Lagoon (Port Clinton, OH) offer a 12-15 week Summer Internship program. This internship allows you the opportunity to work with a vast variety of species; such as aquatics, reptiles, aviary, and hoof-stock such as Giraffe, Antelope and Zebra. (Just to name a few!) Interns will have the opportunity to gain practical work experience and knowledge caring for a variety of exotic animals. Under close supervision you will learn how to prepare diets, clean habitats, observe and document behaviors, implement enrichment, repair and build enclosures, give guided tours to visitors, assist with veterinary care, crate animals for transport, and assist in animal education presentations.
