The Ohio State University South Centers, located at 1864 Shyville Road, Piketon, will be hiring college students with excellent work performance and ethics for summer employment. Students will be hired as a Student Assistant and will be performing field or laboratory-work as required. Responsibilities include: Harvest fruit and vegetables; setting-up irrigation system; collection and analysis of air, plant, water and soil samples; plant and maintain crops; weed and water fruit and vegetable crop plots; maintain landscape beds; washing glassware; mowing grass; data entry; office work, and other miscellaneous work as needed.
Students will be required to work independently or as a group in the field, or laboratory unless otherwise advised by their supervisor. Primary job site will be Piketon, although some travel to outlying farms or research sites may be required. Weekly schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
