  1. Red Arrow Farms, a small family farm located in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, is seeking a summer intern to assist in all aspects of farm management, animal husbandry, and markets.

  3.  McCarty Family Farms is seeking a motivated student to spend the summer learning and understanding all aspects of our unique business. They are a 4th generation family farm that relocated from northeast Pennsylvania to western Kansas in the late 90’s.

  4. The Ohio State Waterman Dairy is looking for students interested in operating farm equipment and working with dairy cattle. Paid positions are open for Summer 2017 employment and can fulfill internship requirements.

  7. There is a newly formed organic dairy farm near Circleville, OH (about 35 minutes from campus) that is looking for some part-time help during the week or on weekends. This could be during the Spring Semester and/or possibly the summer.

  9. The OSU/ATI Dairy farm has internship opportunities available at the farm outside of Wooster, Ohio. The internship will be available from May through August and would be most suitable for those completing their Freshmen or Sophomore years.

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

  1. The College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University is now accepting applications for the David White Graduate Fellowship.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

  1. The National Dairy Shrine is awarding scholarships for sophomores and juniors with an explicit interest in the dairy industry.

  2. Applications due April 29, 2017. The Ohio Pork Council will be offering up to $9,000 in scholarships, ranging from $500 to $1000 per individual. Students entering their freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year in college are encouraged to apply.

  3. The NPFDA (National Poultry & Food Distributors Association) Scholarship Foundation is entering its 38th year of scholarship assistance.  Every year, they award five $2,500.00 scholarships to students in the fields of poultry science, food science, agricultural economics/marketing, Food

  4. The Stark County Dairy Promoters Scholarship Fund based with the Stark Community Foundation, Canton, Ohio, has helped students for 25 years.

  5. OAC is offering up to six $1,500 scholarships to assist students pursuing agricultural-related studies and to help promote agriculture and agri-business as a growing field of career opportunities.
