Certified Humane is a nonprofit certification organization that performs on-farm audits and assessments to affirm that poultry and livestock producers are complying with their Animal Care Standards. Food product bearing the Certified Humane logo can be found in the U.S., Argentina, Australia, the Bahamas, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, India, Jordan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Uruguay.
Becoming trained and certified to conduct on-farm audits and assessments is one way to gain on-farm experience and exposure. Auditing is also something that many people do both part-time or full-time as their profession.
