Rhinebeck Equine is the largest equine referral hospital in the Hudson Valley with board certified specialists in surgery (2), internal medicine, theriogenology, and ophthalmology. They also have a large field service team servicing horses on the farm in the region. Your responsibilities will include assisting the surgeons on the road with lameness exams, radiographic and ultrasound imaging, prepping for joint injections, taking notes, invoicing and helping with minor surgical procedures. You will also be asked to help where needed in the Hospital which could include helping in surgery and bone scans. There may be a time where you may have to assist some of our field service veterinarians. This is a full-time position with a minimum of 36 hours a week. During their busy season in the spring and summer, the work week can potentially go to 40+ hours. The work week runs from Monday-Thursday (+/- Friday) from about 9 am-5 pm (sometimes later than 5). Excellent customer service and computer skills, and horse knowledge are vital to this role. Your horse handling skills will play a part in the hiring decision.
