ACADEMIC DATES & INFO

  1. The OSU Shelter Medicine club is hosting a mock trial with some of the leading veterinary forensics experts!

    The Mock Trial will take place Thursday, February 20th from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Medical Center Auditorium. Everyone is invited! 

  2. Help CFAES celebrate the sesquicentennial by participating in two social media campaigns, #150ActionsToSustainLife, and #150BuckeyesWorldwide.

  3. Test your knowledge in Animal Science!  Compete against your peers with team members that you select for a chance to represent Ohio State at the Midwestern Section American Society of Animal Science Meetings!

  2. Applications and nominations are now open for awards presented at the 2020 Celebration of Students Program on April 9.

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. 2020 Ohio State Fair Entry Department is hiring an intern. Employment is available from middle of June to early August. 

    Responsibilities include data input, office skills, and time managment. 

  2. Kentucky Equine Management is now accepting applications for Fall 2020 Sales & Marketing internships!

  3. The National Turkey Federation is currently accepting internship applications for the Summer 2020 semester in our Washington, D.C. office. They seek a recent graduate or a currently enrolled senior/ junior with a desire to learn about and advocate for the turkey industry.

  4. Black Leg Ranch is again offering an internship opportunity for the upcoming summer. The program will run from May 15th- August 15th (dependent on College schedule).

  5. The YMCA Camp Ernst is looking for a Equine Facility Management Intern. The 365 acre facility located in Northern Kentucky includes 2 outdoor arenas, over 10 miles of trails, a lake, 2 swimming pools, a ropes course and much more!

  6. The WH Miner Agricultural Research Institute is offering summer experiences. More information can be found below

  7. Positions are available on a 1300 cow dairy farm in New Zealand. These positions are for the season starting July 2020 and ending June 2021.

  1. The Dairy and Food Science Department at South Dakota State University is inviting applications for Assistant Manager of its Dairy Research and Training Facility.

  2. A full-time herdsmen position is available on a 250-acre cow/calf operation in Batesville, Indiana. 

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

  1. Scholarships will be awarded to both undergraduate as well as graduate & veterinary students enrolled in a food animal agriculture related curriculum at an institution that offers agriculture degrees.

  2. All students in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences are encouraged to fill out the College Scholarship Application for the 2020-21 academic year. You will only need to fill out one application to be eligible for scholarships from the College of Food, Agricultural, and

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. AZP is a leadership honorary that focuses on an interconnection between food, agriculture and the environment. The program is focused on leadership development, an international experience and a connection among peers in our college and industries.

  2. Romophos is a sophomore class honorary founded in 1932 at the Ohio State University. The name comes from the backward spelling of sophomore, with a little creative rearranging. Each new class of Romophos takes on a fundraising project for a charity selected each year.

  3. The Columbus AAZK Chapter is looking for interested students and student organizations to join the chapter.  The Columbus AAZK Chapter is willing to provide talks/Q&A (zookeeping, field work, enrichment, other aspects of animal care, etc.), do community/river cleanups, and conservation
