Cargill has deeply valued their partnership with Ohio State University over the past three years of the program and hopes to continue this partnership in the program’s fourth year. As a partner university, first and second year undergraduate students who demonstrate exemplary academic achievement, leadership potential and study in a field relevant to Cargill’s world of food, agriculture and risk management are eligible to apply for this program.
In addition to an annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to two years, the Cargill Global Scholars Program provides leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events, and a one-on-one mentoring program with executives from Cargill. These enrichment activities have been designed to help foster and enhance the Cargill Global Scholars’ leadership potential and critical thinking skills, and equip them with the tools necessary for becoming global leaders and decisions makers.
Students specializing in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Agriculture Related Field, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Food Science, International Relations, Political Science, and Public Policy
