  1. Congratulations to the OSU Dairy Judging Team (Laura Bond, Colton Harstine, Ella Jackson, and Meghan Sanders) as they finished 2nd in the Jersey breed at the Fort Worth Stock Show in Texas.


  1. The Ohio Pork Council is actively seeking candidates to apply for the 2016 OPC Summer Internship Program. The ideal candidate should be a college student majoring in the field of agriculture, communications, education, marketing or journalism; preferably going into their junior or senior year.

  2. QTest Labs is seeking 4-5 students to work a few hours a day as a Laboratory Animal Technician.

  3. Safari Adventures at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, OH is looking for strongly motivated and hard working individuals ready for a hands on experience in a AZA accredited zoo.

  4. Wild Horse Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit public charity located on a rural McDermott property in Scioto County, Ohio.

  5. The emphasis of this program is the management of a commercial equine facility and improved horse handling and training skills. Students will learn ground training techniques including halter breaking, lungeing, longlining, and ground driving.

  6. The Summer Experience in Farm Management introduces students to the modern farm as a business, which has as its objective the conversion of plants into milk and meat. All students will be asked to work long hours on occasion, but no more so than would normally be expected on a dairy farm.

  7. Positions are now available for paid undergraduate research at Miner Institute's Forage Lab.

  8. The Ohio Beef Council is offering a few part-time positions for juniors, seniors or recently graduated students.

  9. The U.S. Trotting Association is going to have 2 internships next summer in our Information & Research Department.  Interns will perform tasks related to the gathering, compilation, and dissemination of racing and breeding data for the USTA, its members and customers.

  1. A progressive calf ranch in the upper mid-west is looking for a general manager. Responsibilities would include oversight of daily activities, working with employee management, training and other various roles.

  2. The Technical Service Representative at Osborne Industries Inc is responsible for the installation, commissioning and field service of Osborne Industries Automated Swine Equipment.

  3. The Animal Medical & Emergency Hospital is currently looking for a graduate of the Vet Tech program for a full time technician position. Any interested applicant should call 614-889-2556 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Griffith.

  4. Select Sires, Inc. is seeking Livestock Technicians, Shipping Technicians and Processing Technicians at multiple locations. Work schedules and duties vary per facility for these non-exempt positions and employees are paid hourly wages.
