CAMPUS NEWS & EVENTS

  1. Want to learn more about food animal processing? Ohio State University extension meat specialists are offering a two-day workshop to help the current labor force face challenges brought forth by the 2020 pandemic.

  2. Attached is the announcement for the 2021 Undergraduate Research (Poster) Competition. The event is virtual this year and will be held April 5-8, 2021. The undergraduates will join the graduate and professional student competition and will be judged separately.

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. GPS Dairy Consulting is offering a summer internship for a highly motivated individual interested in a broad dairy industry experience. 

  2. Student Research Assistant to assist with research mouse colony work in the College of Medicine, including but not limited to: mouse handling, weaning, ear punch for id/genotyping, tail snip for genotyping, tattoo ID, assisting with minor procedures/surgeries, monitoring mice after treatments,

  3. Black Leg Ranch is again offering an internship opportunity for the upcoming summer. The program will run from May 17th – August 13th (dependent on college schedule). Students will have the opportunity to earn college credits upon successful completion of the internship.

  4. Claremont Veterinary Clinic is a two-generation clinic and has served the Ashland, Ohio area since 1958. They are searching for passionate, dedicated, and professional individuals to join our team.

  5. Angel Animal Hospital is looking for an intern. For more information, see the ad on handshake for more information. 

  6. Pleasant Valley Farms is a large dairy farm with multiple locations. They are currently looking for interns. Interns are paid and housing is provided.

  7. Kentucky Equine is now accepting applications for the Fall 2021 Kentucky Equine Management Internship (KEMI) session! Applications for Fall will be accepted through April 30th with the actual internship taking place June 21-December 3, 2021. More information and the application form can be found

  5. Unfortunately due to this year's circumstances, the state fairgrounds has suffered immensely and as a result has lost most of their staff. To fill that void, OCA is searching for volunteers to help with set-up, maintenance, etc. for the Ohio Beef Expo.

NAVIGATING COVID TOGETHER

  2. The Libraries are currently offering contact-free pickup by appointment at Thompson Library only, and document delivery through
