Southern Swiss Dairy, LLC is a family owned Grade A creamery located in Waynesboro, GA, built and opened in January 2010. Our creamery’s products are non-homogenized and include fluid milk, ice cream and butter. Their products can be found from Atlanta to Savannah on numerous restaurant menus and grocery shelves. The creamery stemmed from the 960 acre dairy and row crop farm as a way to stabilize volatile market prices for milk. The creamery and farm operate in unison to produce quality feeds to ensure a premium product reaches end consumers.
They are seeking two interns for summer of 2018, beginning in May or early June. Students majoring in dairy science, animal science, food science, agronomy, crop science, ag business or ag communications who are familiar with the dairy industry are preferred. Strong writing and public speaking, and computer skills are essential. Willingness to complete trainings and attaining licenses required. While juniors or seniors will be given preference, sophomores will be considered. Applicants must submit cover letters and resumes with no less than three references no later than March 15, 2018!
