Student Research Assistant to assist with research mouse colony work in the College of Medicine, including but not limited to: mouse handling, weaning, ear punch for id/genotyping, tail snip for genotyping, tattoo ID, assisting with minor procedures/surgeries, monitoring mice after treatments, administering special diets/water, euthanasia, and tissue collection. Required qualifications include: comfort with handling rodents and animal research, strong record keeping skills, reliability, strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications include: prior experience with lab mouse husbandry, prior experience training or supervising other people in animal handling.
