ST Genetics is a cattle genetic facility that focuses on producing the next line of high-quality bulls and heifers. They have various opportunities on farm involving calf care, maternity, and fresh cow work. The maternity barn is responsible for the oversight of about 1,000 late gestations cows, as well as up to 60 newborns at a time. They calve in about 250-350 a month. Employees are trained to handle routine calvings, basic dystocias, and assist with c-sections. Additionally, they will be trained in the fundamentals of newborn care, colostrum management, and more. ST Genetics is hiring full-time night and day positions.
This position would be ideal for an individual wanting to get a good foundation in the dairy industry! No cattle experience is necessary.
