ACADEMIC DATES & INFO

  1. A new poulry course is being offered in Spring of 2021! ANIMSCI 3046: Poultry Biology is being taught by Dr. Lisa Bielke.

  1. SKY Happiness Retreat is a 9-hour total well-being training offered to thousands of university students, faculty, and staff across the country.

  2. Congratulations to our Animal Welfare Judging Team that, collectively, was awarded one-fourth of the total Intercollegiate Animal Welfare Judging/Assessment Contest (AWJAC) awards this past week where 20 years of competition was celebrated. Coached by Drs.

INTERNSHIP & PART-TIME ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. Wild Hearts African Farm is a small education and conservation centered non-profit zoo in Lewisburg, OH. They provide positions for interns year round, but are also looking to provide research opportunities for students.

  2. Cooper Farms is now taking applications to a Research and Development Internship. It is currently posted on Handshake.

  3. Applications are now open for college-age students to apply for the American Angus Association®, Angus Journal ® and Angus Genetics Inc.

  4. Kalmbach Swine Management, Ohio’s largest pork producer, has an exciting, paid summer internship opportunity designed for college students with a livestock production career path.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

  1. The Ohio Pork Council is pleased to offer three scholarship opportunities in 2021. Students entering their freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year in college are encouraged to apply. Applicants, or their parents, must be Ohio Pork Council members.

LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT

  1. If you’re planning to graduate in the Spring 2021, Summer 2021, or Autumn 2021 semester and have a 3.0 GPA or greater, you might consider applying to be recognized as a CFAES Distinguished Senior. Selections will be based on service, employment, involvement, research, and academics.

NAVIGATING COVID TOGETHER

  1. In alignment with recommendations from the Safe Campus and Scientific Advisory Subgroup, Campus Area Bus Service (CABS) continues to limit occupancy to support safety and physical distancing guidelines. For students coming/going to our CFAES Columbus campus, please note:

  2. The Libraries are currently offering contact-free pickup by appointment at Thompson Library only, and document delivery through
