The Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN intern will work with our Innovation and Business Development team (INBD) to understand critical problems facing agriculture today and in the future and propose actionable solutions that address the economic, environmental and social factors. INBD is tasked with thinking into the future to help our business stay ahead of global trends and competition and the intern will be a full member of the team. The position will provide the intern with insights into on-farm conservation, agriculture policy, and the economics of sustainability.
Examples of potential intern projects include exploring service models for soil health, developing a strategy for improved grower engagement, or analyzing product classes for sustainability attributes.
For the summer this could include key research of methane digesters, competitor research related to on farm sustainability programs, farm bill policy development as it relates to sustainability and/or other related projects relating to agricultural sustainability.
