Women in Bioscience Conference

You are invited to attend the 2nd annual Women in Bioscience Conference on November 9th in Columbus, featuring topics such as transforming technical talks, negotiation and persuasion, women in government relations, social media strategies to advance your career, and starting a business.  Your own OSU CFAES BioHio Research Park President & CEO, Dr. Shauna Brummet, will be speaking along with some other successful and interesting scientists and businesswomen.  The agenda for the conference can be viewed here.

The CFAES Gender Initiative will provide registration to a limited number of undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers to attend.  The mission of the CFAES Gender Initiative is to identify and create a support structure that will lead to retention and advancement of women’s careers and other underrepresented groups in the agricultural and natural sciences.

The conference is open to women and men!  The topics are broadly applicable to both genders.
