University of Arkansas Graduate Research Assistantship

A graduate research assistantship (M.S. or Ph.D.) is available for studies within the Department of Animal Science at the University of Arkansas. The selected student will work under the direction of Dr. Kelly Vierck in the area of meat science and muscle biology. Studies conducted will focus on meat quality, flavor development, shelf life, and other meat science topics. Students will have the opportunity to learn a range of laboratory techniques and conduct research as directed by the PI. The selected student will be given the opportunity to be involved with laboratory analyses, project design, data collection, program implementation, data analyses, technical writing and public speaking through presenting at conferences.

Review of applicants will begin on October 26th and continue until the position is filled. Students can be accepted for a fall semester or spring semester start. Please submit a resume or CV and unofficial transcripts to vierck@uark.edu.
