Applications are now being accepted for a new professional development opportunity: Leadership Initiatives for Women of Color (LIWOC). Sponsored through a collaboration between The Women’s Place, Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), and Student Life, the LIWOC program invites students to leverage their disciplinary knowledge and personal strengths to be leaders in the academy and other career fields.
The program serves both undergraduate and graduate students, with a designated cohort specifically for graduate participants affiliated with the Columbus campus. Students who are in good academic standing in graduate or professional programs in any field are eligible to apply. Interested parties should demonstrate paid or unpaid experience in leadership, including as students or classroom teachers, community volunteers, or organizers in other contexts.
