Food Animal Club

The Food Animal Club is one of the largest organizations within the College of Veterinary Medicine community! They host weekly 7am Friday morning meetings in the VMC auditorium (located just inside the student entrance on the east side of the hospital - directly above the Subway) with guest speakers talking on a wide variety of food animal topics. In addition, they are also trying to set up as many wet lab and social opportunities that they can for members throughout the year. This is an excellent way for those interested in pursuing veterinary school to start to get involved with the food animal faculty and current students!

Weekly Club Business:

Dues are $15/year for undergraduate members. This includes weekly breakfast every Friday morning, wet labs, socials, and being able to socially network. Dues can be paid through Venmo (@OSU-FoodAnimalClub), cash, or check. You are welcome to pay your dues at Friday morning breakfast lectures. The deadline to join FAC and have your dues paid is September 25th

Opportunities and More:

Case of the week is held on Thursday's at 12:30 pm in the Large Animal Ward in the Food Animal Hospital. This opportunity allows you to be present for a clinician to go over a case that is currently in the hospital. It gives students a chance to use their knowledge in a clinical setting. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 10 people will be allowed to attend. A RSVP will be sent out on Monday's and have more details included in the email.

Last week's PowerPoint with information about the club and what they do is attached here.
