Miamitown Equine Veterinary Services is hiring in Cleves, Oh. Qualified candidates are detail oriented, self-motivated, and organized. Our fast-paced practice requires efficiency as a top priority. Outstanding client communication skills, professionalism, and a positive attitude are necessary for interacting with clients on farm calls and on the phone. Excellent horse handling skills are REQUIRED and horse experience should be detailed in resume/cover letter. Confidence in handling all types of horses, including stallions, foals, and nervous horses is required in order to keep the veterinarians safe.
Duties include restraining horses, set up/clean up for procedures, assisting with X-rays and dentals, restocking and cleaning the truck, processing labwork, inputting records, and interacting with clients. A valid driver’s license and safe driving skills are required for driving to farm calls. Candidates must have the ability to work for extended periods of time in all weather conditions, must be able to jog alongside horses, and lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lb) that may need to be set up/broken down multiple times per day. Due to the nature of a mobile practice, the length of the workday is variable based on farm calls and emergencies, and seasonality of equine practice.
